Please be advised that routine maintenance will be performed on electrical equipment in the area by Southern California Edison. In order for the upgrades to be made the power on the east side of Cliff Campus will temporarily be turned off.
Although we do have uninterruptible power supplies and backup generators in the datacenter, this power outage still has the potential to negatively impact the availability of services and network equipment, including cloud services that require our sign-on in order to log in. Services that may be affected include Banner, Gmail/Google Apps, and Pipeline.
The estimated start date and time is Wednesday, December 17th at 8:00 p.m. The estimated end date and time is Thursday, December 18th at 5:00 a.m. As stated previously, the loss of power could potentially cause system outages that could last through Thursday, December 18.
